Jonathan Campbell, PhD, LEED AP :: Managing Partner 
Jonathan is a cultural anthropologist, entrepreneur and business owner who continually seeks to integrate his vision with his deep spiritual values for social and environmental good. He has over twenty years of experience with business ventures, international consulting, and leadership development. He is known for his entrepreneurial spirit and strong relational values.

Jonathan has directed projects and consultations in leadership development as well as organizational growth with cross-cultural teams and organizations across North America and parts of Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. Jonathan serves a variety of leaders and organizations – profit and non-profit, domestic and foreign, established corporations and emerging companies such as Pacific Resources International (China), Group Health Cooperative, Restore Systems and Good Earth Development.

Prior to establishing Tahoma Group, Jonathan co-founded Ingram Labs, an award-winning interactive solutions provider where he directed projects for companies such as Rockwell International and Microsoft as well as start-ups like Atom Films in 2001. Since then Jonathan has provided strategic solutions in the areas of organizational design, business incubation, cultural training and leadership development for new and emerging companies. He also owns four growing ServiceMaster franchises in western Washington. Jonathan’s real passion is expressed as he serves leaders of companies and organizations to attain a “triple bottom line” return on investment.

As a lifelong learner, Jonathan continues to explore, educate himself and write in a variety of disciplines. He holds a B.A. in Organizational Psychology and a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies where he researched the effects of globalization upon leadership, organizations, and social movements.  He also is a certified LEED AP by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Jonathan spends time exploring the great Northwest with his wife Jennifer and their four children from the home they built near Olympia, Washington.

 

Johan G Steenkamp, MBA, B. Eng (Industrial) 

Johan brings vast experience in multiple industries and non-profit organizations in Africa, North America and South America.  With a vision for community transformation and development he strongly promotes “triple bottom line” return on investment and is known for his entrepreneurial spirit, strong project management and interpersonal skills.

Johan has more than 20 years of consulting and operations experience in the mining, banking, and manufacturing industries.  He also has strong project management experience with major mining companies such as Anglo American and Kumba Resources, a subsidiary of Anglo American PLC.  Johan’s 10+ years of operations experience is complemented by more than 9 years as a Projects, Systems and Implementation Manager.  He recently worked on Seabridge Gold’s Kerr-Sulphurets-Mitchell prefeasibility study in northern BC,  Selwyn Resources’ Selwyn Project feasibility study in the eastern Yukon as well as Northern Dynasty Mining’s Pebble project prefeasibility study in Alaska.

Prior to joining Tahoma Group, Johan founded Engedi technologies a project management consulting company and co-founded e-People support services outsourced later known as Saku-Bukumkweni. He has managed multiple cross cultural projects for Saku Bukumkweni and the Village Banks in South Africa and is used to manage groups of project managers upward from 16, he was responsible for delivery of up to 130 projects under his control.

Apart from his MBA and engineering qualifications, Johan is also registered as a Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI) as well as an accredited Prince 2 Practitioner.

With a keen interest in green building he has built one of the first residential homes sporting a living roof which even featured some trees.

Currently living in Vancouver he enjoys everything the Northwest has to offer, with his wife Ansa and their four children.
